Key to Avoid Weight Regain

In a study conducted at the University of Colorado Denver is was disccovered that exercise minimizes an increase to your waistline and reduces appetite. The study also found that exercise prevents the increase in the number of fat cells that occurs during weight regain which is contrary to the previous thought that the number of fat cells is set and cannot be changed.

In this study, weight regain was less in the group who exercised versus the group that didn't. This led the researchers to conclude that exercise after weight loss is great for reducing appetite and keeping weight down. Keep in mind that they're talking about weight regain and not weight loss.

This may not be new to you, but the face remains that consistent activity not only aids in reducing your waistline but keeping the fat from coming back.
